To find Gravitite your will need to be in the Aether,Then try finding Zanite Somewhere in the Aether's Ground.
Once you have your Zanite,Make a Pickaxe out of it.Then once you are all Set go and find a nice even ground to Start a mine.
Once you have found a Nice place start Digging your way down.-WARNING- Try your best no not fall out of the Ground.
Go down till your at the last block and start to mine your way around.Make a nice big hole in the middle and just work your way farther and farther.Most Of the time you should find A bunch of Zanite and Gravitite.

This Works for me all the time.
