The [[Name Changer]] is an NPC that was added in Patch 8.8 and is a replacement to the "ask a mod" formula for getting name changes.

The [[Name Changer]] requests the player to make a non-taken, mature, name. Once this is done, the player must pay forward 300,000 coins or a <item n="Player Name Change Tag"/>!

== Process ==
Once a name is submitted, staff members ''([[Helper]] and higher)'' are able to check the name and determine whether it's valid/mature.
* '''Confirm''' - If a staff member confirms the name change, the player's name is changed and that's the end of it.
* '''Deny''' - If a staff member denies the name change, the player will be fined a portion of the initial payment (if paid with coins) and refunded the rest (if paid with an item, the player will get their item back). Additionally, the player will be unable to submit another name change for some time.
