Winter Square is a local station on Lines A, C, and E of the Togcity and Block Nation Subway. It is located southeast of Grand Central, and is the first stop southeast of Grand Central on Lines C and E, while Line A makes a stop at Capitol Street South between Grand Central and Winter Square. The station has one exit to Main Street just north of its intersection with Block Island Avenue, and just south of its intersection with Winter Square Road.

Platform and track configuration

Line A has two tracks and one island platform between them at Winter Square. Lines C/CX have four tracks and two side platforms at this station, with Line CX bypassing the station on the inner two tracks while Line C uses the outer tracks and the two side platforms. An overpass connects the two side platforms. Line E has two tracks and two side platforms, with an underpass connecting the platforms. The overpass and underpass for Lines C and E connect to a mezzanine, which leads to the exit and to Line A.

History

The first parts of Winter Square station to be built were the mezzanine and Line C's level. A bit after, Line A's level was added as an in-fill station, and connected to the mezzanine. The final part to be added was Line E's level, and its work included adding the platforms, adding an underpass, and connecting it to Line C's overpass. Line E's level is located directly above Line C's level.
