Capitol Street North is a station on Lines B, D, DX, and F of the Togcity and Block Nation Subway. Line B's level is elevated above Capitol Avenue, while Lines D/DX's level is located underground. Line B's level existed long before Lines D and DX were built. Line F's level is nearly identical to Line B's level, and is directly above Line B's level.
Platform and track configuration
On the upper level, Line B has two tracks and two wide side platforms. Each platform has a staircase down to the street level. Underground, Lines D/DX have two tracks and two wide island platforms. Each platform has two staircases to a mezzanine, which then has two staircases up to the street level. On the highest level, Line F has two tracks and two wide side platforms with staircases that go down to the Line B level.
History
In the beginning, the elevated Line B above Capitol Avenue passed through the area of Block Park without making a stop between Grand Central and Etho City Square. However, Capitol Street North was eventually added as the only stop on the elevated portion of Line B. It was the same as today when first built. Later, in 2015, Lines D and DX were extended westward from Block Park West to this station, and ended at it for a brief period before being extended to Western Mine. After that was completed, a line named the South Etho City Line was built, ending at Capitol Street North and going north Bonodori Street and further. This line was eventually extended south to Grand Central and became part of Line F.
