Lower Plain and Capitol Building are altogether an express station on Lines D and DX of the Togcity and Block Nation subway. The lower level is below the Capitol Building and is named Lower Plain. It serves Line D, which is the Capitol Local. It has two exits: one to the intersection of Overbridge Street and Lower Plain and one to the Capitol Building. The upper level is above the Capitol Building and is named Capitol Building. It serves Line DX, which is the Capitol Express. It has one exit to the Capitol Building. Both lines continue south from this station to Block Beach. Transferring between the local and express is not difficult because the exits of the two levels go to the same room in the Capitol Building.

Platform and track configuration

Line D has two tracks and two side platforms at Lower Plain. There is an overpass at the southern end of the station, which has an exit east to Overbridge Street and Lower Plain, and an exit up to the Capitol Building. Line DX has two tracks and two side platforms at Capitol Building. There is an overpass at the northern end of the station, and the southbound platform has an exit down to the Capitol Building.

History

The first part of this station to be built was Line DX southbound. It was one track and one side platform for the Capitol Shuttle. Later, Line D was extended to Lower Plain and a transfer between the two levels was added. Finally, when Line DX was extended south to Block Beach, the second track and platform were added.
