How to join

This page is about how to join craftland.

Rules

• Notice that griefers will be watched and banned
• Do not take things out of people's chests
• Do not take anything of people's homes
• Do not destroy blocks of people's homes
• Do not create blocks in people's homes
• Do not try to kill other players (through pushing them off high places, throwing lava on them, or pvp outside of the arena)
• Do not go into people's homes, buildings or cities unless the owner has invited you in or it says it is a public building.
• You have no reason to be in someone's house unless the owner is there and has told you that you may be there for some reason.
• Don't create public warps that kill people when they go to it.
• Please be nice and respectful to others.
• Try to watch your language. I know people say curse words a lot and we try not to bother people about it, but it really is not necessary to use such words. This includes the extensive use of CAPS!!
• Do not spam public or private chat messages. Once or twice is okay, but you don't need to say it 5 times for people to see it.
• Do not get yourself into trouble with others. If you get into an argument with someone, please try to resolve it in a civilized, and peaceful manner. If the problem is not able to be resolved, a moderator or admin may have to solve it for you.
• Don't lock chests or furnaces for others unless you know them personally.
• Do not steal someone's items when they die
• Don't beg mods for items or money, this will result in a temporary ban

Get whitelisted

First, you need to get whitelisted. Come on our irc (#craftland @ esper.net) and ask an admin if you can get whitelisted.

Spamming won't make it faster. In fact, you'll just get kick. If there's no response, try comming back later.

Download the client

Once you're whitelisted, you need to download the craftland loader here. Place the loader in any directory you want and double-click it.

Do not replace your minecraft.jar with it. Once the latest launcher is downloaded with the loader, log in using your minecraft credentials. If you're worried about phishing, you can look at the source code here.

The launcher will start downloading the most recent client mod and you'll be asked to download the aethermod from it's minecraft forum thread. Download it and don't unzip it. Drag and drop the zip file over the message box and you're done. Wait for the update to finish and that's it. Now join the server.

Its strongly recommended to select more memory

Register

After you have joined the server for the first time you have to register an account on craftland.org. Once your account is created, come back ingame and type /activate yes in the chat to finish your registration. (Just press the button "T" to open the chat and type in "/activate yes" (without the quotes) like any normal chat message.) After typing in the command your name should turn gray when chatting (the color of unregistered players is pink). If your name is gray then you are fully registered and ready to play on craftland.

Notice that when you first join the server you start at the top of the spawn, simpely type: /spawn in the chat, this will warp you to the right spawn place.
