A mimic is a creature that you can find in bronze and silver dungeons. They look like chests and only move and attack if you try to open them. When defeated, it will drop a chest (or two, or three).
How to Identify Mimics
In a Silver Dungeon, Mimics can be identified by 2 chests in the same room, or being in the column of stairs.
In a Bronze Dungeon, it generally isn't possible to know if a chest is a mimic, so it is recommended to either take a chance and open it, or to break the chest which will kill the Mimic instantly.
Behavior
Mimics will attack each other before they attack the player. An easy way to defeat them is:
- Activate the second mimic in the room, they will fight each other.
- Once a mimic has died, kill the weakened one.
