Northern Line (Greycliff Continental Railway) |
Golden Empire Greycliff is a station on the Northern Line of the Greycliff Continental Railway, and it has no warp.
Golden Empire Greycliff station was at first built as a temporary station while the line was being constructed to Greece Square from Treefort Station, and the current station building was constructed after the line had been completed to Greece Square.
Platform and track configuration
Golden Empire Greycliff station has two tracks and one island platform. There are staircases at either end of the platform that go up into the station's lobby/waiting area.
The island platform is notable for being one of the few that are 3 meters wide, as opposed to most island platforms that are only 1 meter wide.
History
This station was originally constructed due to an outpost of the Golden Empire being planned for construction nearby. However, the plans for the outpost were shelved, and the station now stands as the only building in the vicinity. Due to this, Golden Empire Greycliff station has very low ridership.
