Salvaging was a function added to the AnvilAnvil in Patch 9.0.

Salvaging on Craftland is the act of taking an existing weapon, tool, or item and breaking it down into lesser materials. In most, if not, all instances, the amount of materials in return for the original item is nowhere near the amount required to reforge the item fresh. Salvaging should only be done when you really need the materials from it, or if the materials are worth more than the actual item itself (For example; Valkyrie PlateValkyrie Plates are worth more than Valkyrie ShovelValkyrie Shovels).

How to Salvage

  • It is important to note that you CANNOT salvage Soulbound items.
