Northern Line (Greycliff Continental Railway) |
Greece Square is a station on the Northern Line of the Greycliff Continental Railway at an area called Greece. It has no warp.
Greece Square was the eastern terminal of the Northern Line for a significant period of time, before the line was extended east to Fort Greycliff.
Platform and track configuration
Greece Square station has two tracks and two side platforms. The exit is at the northern side of the station, and is next to the westbound platform. The eastbound platform has an overpass at the eastern end of the station.
This is one of the few stations with wide side platforms (2 meters each). These were necessary due to the overall layout of the station in its building.
History
This station serves a collection of buildings to the north called Greece. The Greece area has mostly been abandoned, and as a result, this station has low ridership. The station is also a decent distance away from Greece, which does not help matters either.
