Fishing Rods on Craftland are different from Vanilla in the fact that you need to create them in a custom crafting station, the Tool Station, with specific materials to suit your needs.
Fishing Rods are divided into 3 parts;
- Rod - This part of the Fishing Rod will usually determine the durability of the rod, but sometimes will have an affect on how people fish.
- String - This part of the Fishing Rod is usually cosmetic, but can affect how people fish.
- Tackle - This part of the Fishing Rod affects what kind of things the player can find, eg. can make rare fish more common, or grant coins when fishing.

Trivia
- On release of the rework, players could still "repair" their Fishing Rods in a Enchanter. Due to how the Enchanter functions, this would reset the Fishing Rod back into an Oak Fishing Rod.
- On release of the rework, players could craft the Valkyrie Fishing Rod. This means that there are still some custom Valkyrie Fishing Rods out there with Phoenix Strings and custom Tackles!
